My photo
Hey guys! Welcome to my very own "photo" blog. If you don't already know, I'm Casey, and I LOVE taking pictures! I wish I could do it all day every day. I am very blessed to have a special someone that shares this passion with me and helps me along the way. I have the best family and friends anyone could ask for, I'm just blessed beyond what I deserve. This is my passion, and there's nothing I'd rather do. If you have any questions, or would like to book a shoot, leave a comment in the comments section or send me an email at casey@aricalanphotography.com. I would love to help you any way I can. Riptank Open!!

I finally got around to editing a few of the pictures from the Riptank Open that I went to a few weekends ago. It was tons of fun. And taking pictures for 12 hours is no easy task, when it was all said and done I had a free t-shirt, 750 pictures, a sunburn, and wanted nothing more than to go home and go to bed!! haha. Anyway, out of the 750 pictures I got a few shots of the boarders that turned out pretty good. So here are my favorites...

what a difference a little photoshop can make...

seriously though. I was looking back through some of the pictures from Lyndsay's wedding, and I was like, these are some great shots...BUT I could make them look even better with a little photoshop editing. It makes a world of difference...

and After.

People are fun

Getting to take pictures with Aric at the Riptank competition opened my eyes to a whole new idea of photography. Just capturing candid and random shots of people. Yeah sure I was supposed to take pictures of the wakeboarders. But I was also supposed to capture the people there and other such things. So I just went crazy. There were such cool people there. The kind that you imagine seeing in magazines, all the "skater" type fashions with long hair and caps and sunglasses. Then there were the cutest little kids hanging out, and my personal favorites were the dogs. There were probably 7 great danes that showed up and I absolutely fell in love with the huge dogs. Anyway...Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

This little girl was so cute. She saw me and first thing she did was stop to pose.

I love the sequence of this little boy.
First he sees the other little boy playing and comes over to see what it's all about.
Then he squats down to see closer, and decide if he wants to join in or not.
And last, he decides he definately wants to join in.

One of the great danes! How cute!

Clouds

So. While I was at the riptank event last weekend, just hangin' out, takin' some pictures, I realized how BEAUTIFUL the clouds were looking and decided to take a few shots for my own personal collection. I thought it might be fun to start a project on clouds. (of all things) Lots of photographer's come up with "projects" that they work on. In fact I'll have to do a final project for my photo class this semester & I've got a few ideas rolling around in my head, but this "project" is just for my personal pleasure. Stars would have to be my number one favorite thing of all time, but It's a bit more difficult to catch a picture of those, so clouds can be my second favorite. They seem almost like a little glimpse of heaven. & they just look so cool...

Riptank Pictures Coming Soon...

Just wanted to let you know I'll have some of my favorites from the wakeboarding competition I shot this past weekend. In the meantime you can go to Aric's website aricalanphotography.com then click on the flash button, click the "client" button at the bottom then type in the passwords to view the pictures. His pictures are under "riptank" and my pictures are under the password "riptank2".

A little more from Chicago...

So I finally got around to posting the "more important" pictures from Chicago. Yep. We had a lot of fun, and now here are some pictures to prove it.
This first one is of us downtown the same night we took the pictures of the city. There was a museum closeby with all these globes so we stopped for a photo op.

This was a giant blow up lizard outside of the Museum of something or another I can't remember...

The leggo man!

Typical tourist...

Me in Chicago!!

And I decided to add a picture of Me and Jenna from the first Tech home game. Go Raiders!!

Jenna & Lightroom

So the other day Jenna, Aric, & I went out to take some pictures for fun. (imagine that) and anywho, Aric ended up taking most of them (because I wanted to be IN them) so I only snapped a few shots of Jenna, but Aric also got me a new program called Adobe Lightroom, which is a sister program of Photoshop and man it's pretty awesome. I just wanted to show you the color! Look at the greens!! & Jenna is cute. Here are a couple of the favorites
